Meet Our Team
President & CEO
Vince Wong brings significant valuable multi-national and start-up company experience to BioCrossroads. Vince, who became CEO on January 31, 2024, most recently was chief commercial officer at Geneoscopy, a venture-backed start-up company focused on developing gastrointestinal diagnostics. His responsibilities included business development, government affairs, market access, sales, marketing, and communications. He also helped raise over $100M in venture capital. Vince serves as a director on the board of Bionano Genomics (Nasdaq: BNGO) and Executive in Residence with IU Ventures. Prior to Geneoscopy, Vince enjoyed an 18-year career at Roche Diagnostics, where he held senior leadership roles in several functions across various disease areas.
A native Hoosier, Vince has deep Indiana roots and has served on the boards of numerous civic and arts organizations, and currently serves on the boards of both OrthoWorx and the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, and was recognized among both the 40 Under Forty and Indiana 250 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. He earned a BA in economics and government from the University of Notre Dame, a JD from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law, and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Senior Vice President, External Engagement & Chief Innovation Officer
Mike Bolinder serves as the Senior Vice President of External Engagement and Chief Innovation Officer for BioCrossroads since joining the organization in March 2023. Mike is an experienced life sciences executive with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of demonstrated commercial success in management, sales and market launches over 20+ years in the sector. He has built and empowered high performing teams in domestic and international geographies in both large pharma and small startup environments. Mike has experience launching 13 products, new indications, or line extensions across multiple therapeutic areas to include pain (acute and chronic), CNS disorders, PONV, sedation/anesthesia, and cardiology/lipidology.
Prior to joining BioCrossroads, Mike served as CEO of Acacia Pharma Group PLC where he led the company from a privately held R&D-focused startup to a publicly traded commercial enterprise with multiple FDA approved products and completed the sale of Acacia Pharma Group PLC to Eagle Pharmaceuticals after having gained FDA approval for and commercially launched two acute care therapies in 2020. Prior to being appointed CEO, Mike served as the Chief Commercial Officer and led the development of the commercial go-to-market strategy for the company’s products. Prior to Acacia, Mike worked at Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc. where he led the successful integration of the commercial team into Mallinckrodt after the acquisition and then served as Head of Marketing and Commercial Strategy for the Hospital Division.
He began his career in pharma with Eli Lilly and Company, where he served in multiple commercial roles of increasing responsibility across several therapeutic areas during his 11-year tenure. Prior to the life sciences, Mike worked across several industries in various organizations.

Emily Atkinson, PhD
Senior Director of Innovation
Emily is the Senior Director of Innovation at BioCrossroads, where she leads initiatives to advance Indiana’s life science sector. She has a unique talent for seamlessly integrating scientific expertise with business acumen, ensuring a balance between innovation and market viability. Prior to joining BioCrossroads, she served as a venture analyst for Indiana University Ventures, where she focused on strategic investments toward promising life science and B2B SaaS companies. She holds a Ph.D. in anatomy and cell biology from the Indiana University School of Medicine, with a research focus on hematology/oncology and musculoskeletal disorders.
Director of Communications
Amanda Decker joined BioCrossroads as Director of Communications in December 2023. She facilitates the organization's communications and event outreach efforts.
Prior to joining BioCrossroads, Amanda was a copywriter and public relations manager, working in advertising and marketing in Central Indiana. She spent nearly 20 years of her professional career as a journalist, working as a local television news anchor, reporter, and producer in multiple cities across the country, most recently in Evansville, Indiana. In 2020, Amanda served as a regional health reporter, covering all aspects off the pandemic.
The majority of her news career has centered on health and life sciences reporting, including an award-winning series on Indiana's heroin epidemic.
Director of Talent Workforce & Development
Omar Habayeb
Director of Talent Workforce & Development
Omar Habayeb is the Director of Talent and Workforce Development at BioCrossroads. In this role, he collaborates with the Chief Strategy Officer to advance BioCrossroads' mission of creating an employment-ready workforce for Indiana’s life sciences community. Omar leads the establishment of a statewide life sciences training ecosystem, expands programs to highlight diverse career opportunities, and supports workforce and talent development in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders.
Omar manages projects within the training ecosystem, starting with pharmaceutical manufacturing and expanding to broader subsectors, employers, educational institutions, and local stakeholders. He supports Indiana’s iLab initiatives to create a modern youth apprenticeship program for life sciences and healthcare occupations. Omar identifies high-priority roles for employers, consolidates demand, defines the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs), and develops the curriculum to build these KSAs. Cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders statewide and regionally, including K-12 schools, secondary and postsecondary institutions, industry, the public sector, and aligned organizations, is essential to his role.
Omar has extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple institutions. As Director of Skills and Pathways Programs at TechPoint, he led efforts to identify and define in-demand tech roles in Indiana, developed and scaled skills-based initiatives, managed budgets, coordinated events, and refined career pathways. At Martin University, he served as Director of Institutional Research, providing leadership in data collection, interpretation, and use for planning and decision making. As Data & Analytics Manager at Colorado Christian University, Omar managed the Data & Analytics department, created new reports, and developed data-driven solutions for various departments. At Cleary University, he worked as an Institutional Research Analyst, gathering data, preparing reports, and analyzing statistics to support college leadership. At Midwest Technical Institute, he was an Operations Data Research Analyst, providing key metric reporting and conducting data analysis and market research. As Director of Operations Data & Research at Harrison College, Omar headed the college's data and research programs, coordinated large-scale initiatives, and facilitated the implementation and assessment of projects and programs.
Omar holds a Master's degree in organizational and professional communication and development with an emphasis on human resources, and a Bachelor's degree in political science and communication, both from Ball State University.
Director of Operations
Lyndsey Grayson
Director of Operations
Lyndsey Grayson joined BioCrossroads as Executive Assistant/Program Manager in February of 2021 and was promoted to Director of Operations in January of 2023. She supports the organizations strategic goals through leadership of the operations function, strategy and planning efforts, and project management.
Prior to joining BioCrossroads, Lyndsey managed over 200,000 square feet of commercial real estate while supporting multiple executives. She spent over 20 years of her professional career as a high-capacity executive assistant, working at local non-profits and media companies.
