Our Initiatives

BioCrossroads fuels Indiana’s life sciences industry by developing paths for building upon our state and regional strengths. 

Fostering Connections, Fueling Research and Development, and Igniting Innovation

Starting from a firm foundation of proven academic and industry assets, BioCrossroads has launched several businesses and industry/academic collaborations IN life sciences who exist to pursue new, innovative opportunities. The organization also has provided a platform for the launch of other enterprises, including funding and science education initiatives.

DATALYS CENTER

A 501(c)3 non-profit organization that specializes in research programs focused on the health and safety of athletes and other physically active populations. The Datalys Center’s vision is to promote health and physical activity through safer sports.

INDIANA BIOSCIENCES RESEARCH INSTITUTE

The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) is the first industry-inspired research institute in the nation, founded by global life science companies with a mission to accelerate discoveries leading to innovations for people suffering from metabolic disease and poor nutrition.

The Indiana Health Information Exchange operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, interoperable health IT network to connect 100 hospitals, care facilities, health clinics and other healthcare providers.

The mission of IndyHub is to cultivate, engage and support a network of 20-and 30-somethings with a goal to help this community make Indianapolis their own by fostering exploration, learning and taking action in both creative and formal settings.

ORTHOWORX

Formed in 2009 with initial funding from the Lilly Endowment, OrthoWorx is a community-based initiative that works strategically and collaboratively with the orthopedic industry, life sciences partners and regional stakeholders to advance the orthopedic industry for generations to come.
