The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease is emotionally overwhelming, with unknown hurdles ahead for people whose families haven’t experienced it. People living with the disease, their caregivers, advocacy groups, and others who understand the personal and medical burdens, can articulate fear and how we can cope.
