Indiana Life Sciences Summit Brings Thought Leaders Together for Two-Day Conference on Innovation

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., August 26, 2015 — BioCrossroads and AlpInvest Partners today announced the focus of the twelfth annual Indiana Life Sciences Summit will be on “Innovation in the lab and in the community” with an emphasis on creating an innovation district, attracting and retaining talent, and raising capital. The Summit has expanded to a two-day conference with talks around capital innovation on October 14 and catalyzing innovation on October 15.

Keynote speakers for the Summit include Jennifer Vey, Fellow, Metropolitan Policy Program, Brookings Institution and Tim Opler, Founder and Managing Director, Torreya Partners. Vey is a fellow at the Brookings Institution whose work primarily focuses on the competitiveness and quality of life of cities and metros in the next economy. She will be delivering a keynote on “The Rise of Innovation Districts.” Opler will present “Partnerships and Investing in the Life Sciences.” He co-founded Torreya Partners in 2007 and has completed more than 150 life sciences financing, licensing and merger and acquisition transactions with a value in excess of $100 billion.

Keynote presentations will be accompanied by panel discussions and audience participation with industry thought leaders from the real-estate development, pharmaceutical, medical device, university, and investment communities.
